Hillcrest StoryCorps: Connecting the Generations One Story at a Time
We’re teaming up our Youth Ministry and our Second Half Ministry for conversations that will be recorded and shared with others in our congregation. This is an avenue to “connect the generations one story at a time.”
We’re proud to partner with StoryCorps for this project. StoryCorps is an American non-profit organization whose mission is to record, preserve, and share the stories of Americans from all backgrounds and beliefs. Each interview is archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress for future generations to hear. To date, StoryCorps has recorded more than 60,000 interviews among more than 100,000 participants in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and several American territories. We’ll be using a combination of video-conferencing tools (such as Zoom) and StoryCorps Connect to capture and archive these stories.
If you would like your Youth Member to participate please contact denise@hillcrest.church!
