Please Welcome Our New Front Office Administrative Assistant

Hello Hillcrest Baptist Church! My name is Sherrie Stewart, and I am excited to introduce myself to you! I am a native Austinite who spent my childhood growing up at Kinney Avenue Baptist Church in South Austin. I received my B.B.A. in Accounting in 1990 from The University of Texas. My husband Jay and I have lived in Westover Hills for over 21 years. We have two children: Claire and Christopher ages 20 and 17. Our children attended Hill, Murchison, and Anderson, where our son is currently a senior and where I enjoy volunteering with the marching band and soccer teams. Our daughter Claire attends Texas State University in San Marcos, and my husband Jay is an attorney. We also have a dog named Buddy and several cats, the oldest of which is Julietta, aged 21! As an interesting note, when I was a teen and through my early 30’s, I worked as a piano teacher for my mother’s business, Hamblin Music Studios. I enjoy attending Austin Symphony Orchestra and Austin Opera performances. I love spending time with my family and enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures. I am so grateful to be a part of the Hillcrest Baptist Church staff team and look forward to this next chapter in my life! Thank you God!
