Education Connection Volunteers Needed
Do you think child literacy is important? Looking for a way to get involved in our local neighborhood? Then we need you! Hillcrest Church partners with Education Connection in their effort to have every child at Hill Elementary reading on grade level by third grade. We are looking for literacy partners to read with children in first through third grade for 30 minutes each week throughout the school year. Could it be you?

We need at least 5-6 volunteers to meet Angel House Soup Kitchen requirements.
Thank you for supporting this ministry! In May Angel House Soup Kitchen served 9,832 meals. As of May, they have served 42,875 meals this year.

What a great first week so far!
Thank you volunteers for helping provide a great first week for Mission Anderson band students! We had about 40-50 students each day. The kids have been enjoying the AC, fruit, snacks, cool drinks and basketball.

"Acts of Faith" at the Bob Bullock Museum, Thursday, July 10, 9:30am to 2:30pm
Take a day trip with Pastor Tom to the Bob Bullock Museum to see "Acts of Faith," an exhibition exploring the interaction of religion and U.S. westward expansion in the 19th century through the stories of preachers, pilgrims, and visionaries. Admission to the museum is $15 for Adults, $11 for seniors 65+ and $9 for youth. We'll eat at a restaurant downtown after touring the exhibit. No pre-registration is required. Just meet at the church no later than 9:30am.

This will be a low intensity walk, that is shaded, and paved! After our walk, we will head for Good Folks restaurant in downtown Georgetown. After lunch, ladies will have an opportunity to shop and explore Georgetown Square together for as long as they like.
