Scripture

As you read through a portion of Scripture, pick out a verse or two that stands out and write them in your journal.

Observation

Make a few observations about the verse(s) or passage. What does the text say? What does the passage say about God or man?

Application

Write a few sentences as to how you are to apply these verse(s) to your life. What truth am I to believe? What promise is made? What does the passage demand of me? How does the passage change the way I relate to others? How am I prompted to pray?

Prayer

Write out a prayer to God in response to this passage. Write down a few notes of other prayer concerns you will pray for as well.
