Labor of Love Holiday Market

Thank You For Your Support!

Our Labor of Love fundraiser is the one and only fundraiser for our Student Ministry. Every dollar raised goes directly to offset the cost of Student Ministry activities. Our middle school and high school students benefit from each of our wonderful vendors’ participation and from every food item sold.

Without this “Labor of Love,” many of our students would not be able to participate in some excellent opportunities for service and growth. With money raised from our past fundraisers, students have been able to go on various mission trips, summer camps, conferences and retreats. Thank you for joining us in helping the students of Hillcrest Baptist Church learn to grow in Christ. We appreciate your support.

I would like to receive an email about next year’s Holiday Market

Please let us know how you heard about this event!

Labor of Love History

The Labor of Love Holiday Market was started in 1990 by two women who were trying to raise money for the youth at Hillcrest Church in Austin, Texas. It has grown from a handful of craft tables in the gymnasium to what it is today!

This event supports several youth, who, along with their parents, work hours at this show to earn dollars which are put into their youth accounts. This in turn allows them to pay for the camps, ministries, and mission trips that they attend throughout the year.

Thank you for supporting this event and our youth! Please read some of our youth member testimonies.

Youth Testimonies

  • Getting to travel with the youth to Belize was an incredibly rewarding experience. I learned extensively about Central American culture and grew so much as a person aiding locals in the construction of a new church. I will never forget my mission trips, and will always be thankful for the holiday market making it possible for me to attend!!!!

  • I loved Belize. I could truly feel the Holy Spirit in the people we stayed with and the entire community was very warm and welcoming. We had a number of struggles, but nothing we couldn’t overcome. The trip taught me how to trust that when things don’t go to plan, God is still there to provide.

  • Honestly, Belize was a big thing for me away from my room, games, and more. No AC was a change, but I had a good time with friends helping build the church and eating different food.

  • Belize was so fun! It was a new and exciting experience to travel out of the country for the first time. I liked to see the culture there and try new things that you don’t really get the opportunity to here in America. Helping the people with construction, and kids camp was also so fun because I feel like everyone there really appreciated our help. The craft fair helped me financially get there. Without working to raise money, I probably would not have been able to go and experience everything.

  • I had the blessing of going to Belize with the youth group and my son. It was an unforgettable experience of getting out of our comfort zones and worshipping like I never have before with the people there. I am thankful for this event to make these experiences possible for our youth!

  • I can not express my gratitude for how much the Holiday Market has impacted the youth in this church, their friends, and other peoples lives (even internationally). I am so thankful for those that continue to make this happen from vendors to volunteers. Many of our kids would not have the opportunities to experience missions trips, summer camps, or many other much needed social engagements without this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
